The Hanover Congress Centrum with its event and foyer area of 23,000 m², divided into 4 multifunctional event halls, 7 historic rooms and 28 conference and meeting rooms, one of the largest exhibition-independent congress and event centers in Germany. With its meanwhile 100-year history since its opening in 1914, the HCC is a recognized and for many decades well-known meeting place and center point for the social and cultural life in the state capital Hanover.
Visible from afar and with a high recognition value is the dome hall, the center of the building and room ensemble. Built in 1914 in the dimension of the Pantheon in Rome, it invites visitors to events that are visible from afar.
In 1914, the city hall, which has a size of around 60,000 m², was built with the historic Stadthalle. There are regular large receptions, summer festivals, food truck festivals and other outdoor events. With the Rosencafé in the Stadtpark ,the HCC also offers a second day-long operation in the beer garden format, right next to the classic park restaurant in the HCC. The park restaurant, located in the historic part of the building, is a certified organic restaurant with 120 seats to relax in and is available to all event visitors and guests as a public restaurant.
Barrier-free at HCC
In all the renovation and maintenance work carried out in recent years, in addition to compliance with and implementation of all legal regulations, particular importance was attached to single-coloured, opaque and non-slip floor coverings. In addition, our wall designs are rich in contrast, handrails and railings start from the floor, the lighting design is largely glare-free and nursing and nappy-changing rooms are available in excess of the required size.
Parking spaces for the disabled & entrances for disabled persons
In the area of our multi-storey car parks on Schillstraße there are seven disabled parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the main entrance. Two further disabled parking spaces are located in the area of the Kuppelsaal, near the Park Restaurant. At ground level you can reach the reception and all halls and conference rooms of the Hanover Congress Centrum as well as the Kuppelsaal from the main entrance. An intercom system is installed at the main entrance for further information on site or assistance. Disabled toilets are available in all areas of the HCC.
