Hanover’s libraries offer their customers something very special and nationally unique:
A network of academic libraries and the city library Hannover has launched HOBSY – the Hannoversche Online-Bibliothekssystem – with the aim to improve the literature supply in Hannover and to facilitate the use of the libraries:
• SEARCH: Under www.hobsy.de the search can be started in a general catalogue and thus in parallel in all collections
• LENDING: A unified user card allows lending of media in all participating libraries
• RETURNS: Returning media to the nearest library saves time and travel
