Barrier-free in the HCC
For all the renovation and maintenance work carried out in recent years, apart from the observance and implementation of all legal regulations, special emphasis was placed on monochrome, opaque and non-slip floor coverings. In addition, our wall designs are full of contrasts, handrails and railings start from the ground, the lighting design is largely glare-free and nursing and nursing rooms are available beyond the required level.
Handicapped parking spaces and entrances for the disabled
In the area of our multi-storey car park on the Schillstraße there are seven disabled parking spaces in the immediate vicinity to the main entrance. Two more disabled parking spaces can be found in the Kuppelsaal area, near the park restaurant. On the ground floor you can reach the reception and all the halls and conference rooms of the Hannover Congress Centrum as well as the Kuppelsaal from the main entrance. For additional information on site or assistance, an intercom is installed at the main entrance. Disabled toilet facilities are available in all areas of the HCC. On Tuesday, 26 May the company exhibition will be opened at 12:00 am. All participants are cordially invited.
On Tuesday, 26 May the opening of the congress will take place at 6:30 pm in the Kuppelsaal. Afterwards there is a reception on the terrace of the restaurant. A separate registration is not required, all exhibitors and all participants are invited. The name badge is sufficient for access.

The Congress Party will take place on Thursday, 28 May from 7.00 pm at the Hanover Adventure Zoo. The entrance is Adenauerallee 1, 30175 Hannover.
Participation is only possible with a ticket, you can make the booking through the online registration form.
All speakers are requested to submit their presentation in the speaker center in the Neuer Saal up to two hours before the presentation. The lectures will then be recorded in the lecture rooms so that each speaker only has to open the lecture on the computer in the lecture room. Own computers or USB sticks can not be installed in the session rooms.

The 110th Deutscher Bibliothekartag will take place from 15 – 18 June 2021 in Bremen.
Anyone traveling in the Hanover region by bus, tram or commuter train uses a well-functioning and coordinated network of various transport companies, all of which are united in the GVH.
Included in the registration fees is a public transportation ticket for the city centre of Hanover, tariff zone ABC. The public transportation pass for a full congress ticket is valid from 26 – 29 May, for a congress day-ticket on the corresponding day. The congress name badge serves as ticket for the buses and trains.

As librarians, we support free access to publications in a variety of ways. The two associations VDB and BIB are therefore committed to leading the way in publishing the largest national training event. All publications in the congress volume of the journal o-bib are published in Open Access. The associations recommend the speakers, as well as all other contributions to the Deutscher Bibliothekartag, in particular the presentations on the BIB-OPUS server as well as the posters and clips with the open Creative Commons license CC BY (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.de). For this purpose, a CC license notice should be included on the presentation slides and posters or in the clips. This recommendation applies to all publications on the BIB-OPUS server, even beyond the Bibliothekartag.
